FBM KLCI Futures To Remain Tight-Ranged Next Week

The FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives is expected to remain tight-ranged next week in line with the underlying fundamentals.

"The market will remain lacklustre unless corporate developments emerge to excite investors," said a dealer.


On a week-to-week basis, spot month August 2009 eased 24.0 points to settle at 1,159.5 from last Friday while September 2009 declined 24.0 points to 1,157.5.
December 2009 was down 22.5 points 1,153.0 and March 2010 lost 23.5 points to 1,147.0.
The week's turnover increased to 35,999 lots from 22,597 lots last week while open interest stood at 20,081 contracts against 22,952 contracts previously.
