The FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher on Thursday, dealers said.
Spot month August 2009 rose 10.5 points to 1,161.5, September 2009 went up 11.5 points to 1,160.5, and December 2009 and March 2010 added 13.0 points each to 1,155.5 and 1,150.5 respectively.
Total volume, however, fell to 6,186 lots from 7,997 yesterday and open interest declined to 20,515 contracts from 23,858 previously.
The underlying FBM KLCI gained 7.9 points or 0.73 percent higher to 1,163.43.
