The FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher on the back of a firmer cash market, dealers said.
Spot month August 2009 and December 2009 contracts rose 20 points each to 1,179.5 and 1,173.0 respectively.

September 2009 gained 20.5 points to 1,178.0 and March 2010 increased 21 points to 1,168.0.
Total volume went up to 9,908 lots from 4,880 lots last Friday while open interest slipped to 19,442 contracts from 20,081 contracts previously.
The underlying FBM KLCI rose 10.7 points to close at 1,174.49.
