FBM KLCI Falls In Tandem With DJIA; Mantain Above 1300
Of the 30 components of KLCI, 4 closed in the positive territory, 22 ended lower while the remaining four were unchanged. Volume for the component stock was 99 million shares worth RM647 million.
For the week, the index however added 1.87 points or 0.14% from the previous Friday's closing of 1,298.58 points.

Local Mart Rebounded Off Morning Lows; 1303.43 >>> 1296.44 Range
The FBM KLCI lost 7.91 points or 0.60% to 1,300.45 points. It opened 4.93 points lower at the day's highest level of 1,303.43 points and moved to as low as 1,296.44 points during the day, representing a trading band of 6.99 points.
Market breadth was negative with losers beating gainers 531 to 245. There were 1,008 million shares worth RM1,382 million exchanging hands against 1,065 million shares valued at RM1,378 million Thursday.
Decliners outpaced advancers by 531 to 245 while 230 counters remained unchanged and 305 others untraded.
Volume decreased to 1.008 billion shares worth RM1.381 billion from yesterday's turnover of 1.065 billion shares valued at RM1.378 billion.
A dealer said Wall Street's slump, the worst in three months with the Dow Jones Industrial Average tumbling 213.27 points to 10,389.88, affected investors' sentiment in both local and regional markets.
Lagging Movers were CIMB (-16 sen to RM13.34), MAYBANK (-7 sen to RM6.91), GENTING (-12 sen to RM7.28), AXIATA (-4 sen to RM3.43) and MISC (-11 sen to RM8.50). Leading Movers were YTL (+12 sen to RM7.54), YTL POWER (+1 sen to RM2.20), MMC (+2 sen to RM2.41) and UMW (+1 sen to RM6.45).

Actively traded stocks include AGLOBAL, TALAM, KNM, L&G, BINTAI, IRCB, PENTAMASTER, KEURO, KURASIA and AXIATA
The Finance Index declined 0.57% to 11415.49 points, the Properties Index lost 0.76% to 808.30 points and the Plantation Index eased 0.37% to 6439.72 points.
The FBM Emas Index shed 48.64 points to 8,750.0, the FBM Ace Index declined 40.45 points to 4,495.21 and the FBM70 Index dipped 35.12 points to 8,554.95.
