FBM KLCI Futures End Slightly Higher

The FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (FBM KLCI) futures contract rebounded technically to end slightly higher after recent sharp losses, a dealer said.

At the close, spot month September 2009 added 2.5 points to 1,168 while nearby October 2009 rose two points to 1,166 and December 2009 increased 1.5 points to 1,162.

Distant month March 2010 advanced two points to 1,156.

Volume stood at 5,839 lots, up from 4,591 lots Tuesday while open interest rose to 15,580 contracts from 14,562 contracts previously.

The underlying FBM KLCI was 3.27 points lower at 1,168.01.
