FBM KLCI futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower in line with the cash market’s easier performance. April 2011 shed 14.5 points to 1,536.0, May 2011 eased 15.5 points to 1,535.5, June 2011 fell 17.5 points to 1,535.0 and September 2011 dropped 22 points to 1,529.0.
Volume increased to 6,193 lots from last Fr iday’s 5,815 lots, while open interest rose to 22,653 contracts against 21,804 contracts previously.
On the cash market, the underlying FBM KLCI closed 13.49 points lower at 1,544.0, after opening 2.18 points higher at 1,559.67
