KL Shares Close Mixed With Lower Volume
The FBM KLCI closed lower today by 0.95 points to 1,359.71 due to lack of fresh market leads.The market bluechips barometer fell 0.07% on mild selling, in line with weak Asian markets as investor sentiment was weighed down by persistent doubts about the global economic growth.
The market traded within a range of 4.29 points between an intra-day high of 1362.24 and a low of 1357.95 during the session.Market breadth was negative with 255 gainers as compared to 409 losers.
Lagging Movers were YTL (-11 sen to RM7.39), HONG LEONG BANK (-14 sen to RM8.97), TNB (-2 sen to RM8.65), KLK (-12 sen to RM16.84) and AXIATA (-1 sen to RM4.29). Leading Movers were GENTING (+3 sen to RM7.88), PETRONAS GAS (+12 sen to RM10.22), PUBLIC BANK (+2 sen to RM12.00), MAYBANK (+1 sen to RM7.73) and IOI (+1 sen to RM5.15).
Actively traded stocks include TIMECOM, SINOTOP, MSPORTS, MAYBANK, MUDAJAYA-CA, XDL, AXIATA, IFCAMSC, CIMB and AIRASIA. Trading volume declined to 675.94 mil shares worth RM1132.81 mil as compared to Monday's 699.32 mil shares worth RM1065.90 mil.
