BURSA MALAYSIA >>> FBM KLCI Futures Market Overview

FKLI Close Higher

The FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher Tuesday following a firmer cash market, dealers said.

At close, the July 2010 contract rose 10.5 points to 1,339, August 2010 increased 11.5 points to 1,339.0, September 2010 gained 9.5 points to 1,337.5 and December 2010 added 10 points to 1,338.

Volume increased to 8,065 lots from 5,014 lots Monday while open interest declined to 18,152 contracts from 18,171 contracts previously.

On the cash market, the key FBM KLCI closed at its highest level of the day, up 6.13 points at 1,332.87.
